Senator, and PLEASE use Senator when addressing Barbie Box, errr…Barbara Boxer because she will take exception to politely being addressed as ma’am by military personnel. When the brigadier-general she questioned at a Senate hearing earlier this year kept instinctively referring to her as “ma’am.” ( “Yes, ma’am.” “No, ma’am.” etc.) Boxer became irate and demanded the General refer to her as ‘Senator’ instead of ‘ma’am.’ Boxer explained, “It’s just a thing. I worked so hard to get that title. I’d appreciate it.” The thing is the U. S. Army’s protocol guide states that “ma’am” is an acceptable form of addressing a female senator.
A few years back Boxer called former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice “Madam” three different times during testimony while Rice was appearing before Congress. “Ma’am” is, of course, the contracted form of “Madam.”
Barbara Boxer’s condescending manner is well known. But despite that fact many American’s were highly offended when she rudely interrupted the General who has courageously defended her freedom demanding she be addressed as Senator. Typical hypocritical Liberal
