Former president Bill Clinton has been hitting the campaign trail hard for his wife Hillary, hoping to bamboozle as many Americans as possible into voting for her come November.
However, his stops and speeches have led to numerous gaffes and mix-ups, such as the recent one involving his criticism of Obamacare — which likely made Hillary gasp in horror — and now, his forgetfulness when it comes to her campaign slogan.
Yes, that’s right, folks. A man who has been campaigning for well over a year with his wife totally forgot her slogan. Two words.
According to The Blaze, The 42nd president made the glaring error during a campaign stop for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton with just 14 days to go until the election. Instead of quoting her actual campaign slogan, which is “stronger together,” the 70-year-old got one word wrong.
“But we were growing together. This campaign slogan of Hillary’s, ‘growing together,’ is more than just two words that sound good,” Clinton said while he was standing behind a podium with the actual campaign slogan clearly printed on the front.
Yeah, near miss.
The actual slogan is “stronger together,” not “growing together,” Mr. Clinton. Get your act together!
While these gaffes are certainly hilarious, at the same time, they’re a reminder of the fact that there’s a chance this family — if you can call it that — has a shot at being in charge of the country.
Again.
That’s change we can certainly do without.
