NBC, which is carrying Superbowl XLVI, will instruct fans who attend the game to only applaud during commercial breaks! “This is an effort to enforce fairness by preventing audiences at home, who have not already picked a Superbowl team favorite, to be influenced by the enthusiasm of the live audience”, Williams was overheard saying.
NBC’s new format was utilized at Monday night’s Republican debate in Tampa, FL as Brian Williams instructed the audience to hold their applause until the commercial breaks. The move completely quelled enthusiasm from the live audience attending the debate. It also aided in throwing the Republican candidates off their game.
In recent past debates NBC has fearfully noted that when the live audience shows so much enthusiasm and approval when Republicans point out Obama’s colossal failures that people at home may begin to believe Republicans, especially when they are dead on correct. NBC is fearful that their audience may begin realizing that NBC rarely criticizes President Obama, like they did George W. Bush and may begin questioning their journalistic integrity.
NBC is very proud of the new standard and hopes other media outlets will follow suit. The mainstream media, especially NBC, has always been in the tank for Obama despite the president’s failure to spur economic growth, create jobs, stand up to Iran, support Israel and unite Americans.
I wish in retrospect I’d protested when Brian Williams took them out of it because I think it’s wrong,” Mr. Gingrich said. “And I think he took them out of it because the media is terrified that the audience is going to side with the candidates against the media, which is what they’ve done in every debate.”
In an interview on Fox Tuesday morning Speaker Gingrich said NBC’s rules amounted to stifling free speech. Gingrich has rightfully blamed the media for trying to silence a dissenting point of view and educating the “on the fence” voters who may not understand the true destruction that Barack Obama has been carrying out on America since he took office.
Speaker Gingrich said, “We’re going to serve notice on future debates,” on Fox. “We’re just not going to allow that to happen. That’s wrong. The media doesn’t control free speech. People ought to be allowed to applaud if they want to.”
Clearly Liberal media outlets such as NBC, ABC and CNN are very nervous that Republican’s ramped up attacks against Barack Obama will strike nerves in zombie American voters who at this point, have not understood how bad a president Obama has actually been.
So if you are attending the Superbowl on February 5th, remember, no applauding until commercial breaks!
